Hey everyone, I am trying to install an nVidia GTX 970M on my Alienware M15x. I was using the MacBook Pro 6,2 SMBIOS (most compatible to my laptop) and I am running Sierra 10.12.5 as well as Clover Legacy r4097. When everything is installed including the nVidia web drivers, I got a black screen. I was doing research and someone mentioned I can try using an iMac 14,1 SMBIOS. While that worked and allowed me to get a display with full acceleration, the system got so slow/sluggish due to power management not working properly from the iMac SMBIOS. (CPU is stuck in x9.0 multiplier.) I have also tried the clover patch for Pike's AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy with no result on the old SMBIOS. Is there a way to use the MacBook Pro 6,2 (or a compatible laptop SMBIOS so I can keep CPU Power Management) setup while having the GTX 970M activated? If I can, how would I go about doing that? I would think that the AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy would need to be patched, but I have no idea where to start. Thanks.
