Hey Quadro78,

Thanks it helped me as well.

But I'm only managing to get audio through the front earphone jack. I've tried all the plugs at the back, none work.

Note that I have a simple 2.0 system, so I'm using the L-out (green) when in Windows.

Any advice?

Hi Folks, Ive been following along with is for a while and ended up getting a x299 system to have a bash.

Im trying to Boot Sierra as i have a gtx 1080

System:

x299 UD4 (Bios F4g)

i9-7900x

Gtx1080

Ive tried one of the clovers  Surfchinas posted as a base as his seemed to be the closest but im now stuck. (see attached image).

Any ideas would be very greatly recieved! ;)

Have you tried adding CPUS=1 to your boot argument? It worked for me.

Does anybody face the same gIOScreenLockState 3  problem with Nvidia Graphics cards and the ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe under 10.12.6?????

Seems there is no way to by-pass this problem!!!!! The system does not boot!!!!

Is it a general Nvidia problem with X299 and 10.12.6 or a particular problem with Nvidia and the ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe under 10.12.6 ?

Under 10.13 DP7, the X299/Nvidia boot works fine, however, it seems impossible to load the WebDriver after the 10.12.6 Web Driver Workaround  ....

Yup! exactly the same!!!! You have a different board though, so the Problem is definitely on side of Nvidia!!!! An it seems to be  a general problem related to all X299 Boards!!!! O.m.G.

I always worked so far with the most simple and cheapest card on the market, The Gigabyte Radeon RX560 2GB, end everything went fine :-) Now I changed  to my 880 Dollar Nvidia card for test purposes and my entire system is screwed up!!!! Unbelievable !!!!!:wallbash:

Hello,

I have tried different methods from this post and I was able to boot High Sierra in VESA-Mode. I wasn't able to enable nVidia Graphics on DP7, but I'd rather get Sierra working anyways, since the graphics driver doesn't work well yet in HS even when enabled.

However, the nVidia Driver doesn't seem to start in Sierra. I get stuck at the line "IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0".

Has anyone got that so far?

Here are my specs:

- MSI X299 Raider

- i7-7800X

- GeForce GTX 980 Ti

Thanks!

Het mathq,

I have a similar setup.

Could you upload your EFI used for installation? I'm really struggling to get into the installation stage.

Regarding your error, I had the same error on HS. KPG released a very detailed guide for X299 High Sierra. Follow the patch by the letter. It took me three tries, but it did work.

All the best
