Cyberdevs
I'm not sure if disabling it will affect the OS or not but if it does (which is highly unlikely) you can use "High Current" flag under the devices in your config.plist to make sure you can charge the mobile devices using the USB port. sad_Vamp
Maybe I was not clear enough (sorry not a native speaker). I'll try to describe it better. The USB still charges even when the PC is off. Thus my external soundcard (and everything else on USB) stays ON. I don't want this. I want to completely shut down the machine, even the USB. Is there any known method for these Gigabyte MOBO's to do it or no (and I have to turn off the PSU everytime I turn off the machine)?
Cyberdevs
Well I guess you need to disable USB DAC Power in the BIOS as well if ErP didn't work. I thought you didn't turn off the ErP yet when I made my previous post.
sad_Vamp
I just tried it.I mean the ErP thingy... But I did not see any option fot this USB DAC. Nothing seems to be related with this thing in BIOS. Not in the power managemant nor in the USB settings.
Cyberdevs
on my Z170X-Gaming 5 I have USB DAC Power, maybe it's a feature on my mobo. I have the latest BIOS installed (f22a)
sad_Vamp
Sadly my designare bios looks nothing like that. it looks like on these pictures: https://www.tonymacx86.com/media/img_3248.188130/full but as I see from this picture, maybe I should try to upgrade my BIOS (currently -if I remember correctly- I have no BACK AC option):https://imagescdn.tweaktown.com/content/7/8/7836_49_gigabyte-z170x-designare-motherboard-review.png
Cyberdevs
Sadly my designare bios looks nothing like that. You need to check the settings under "Power" my USB DAC Power is under "Power" not the "Peripherals"
sad_Vamp
Damn I've put a wrong link .... so I mean this https://imagescdn.tweaktown.com/content/7/8/7836_49_gigabyte-z170x-designare-motherboard-review.pngIt seems this motherboard is so {censored} I cannot even turn off the USB DAC. The "BACK AC" is not related (According to the bios help), and the ErP does not helps either.I did not find any clues on the other parts of the internet either.... So it seems I will have to turn of the PSU every time.
Cyberdevs
I looked up your mainboard and the USB Power DAC is not present in your BIOS because there are no USB DAC ports on your mainboard, USB DAC ports are yellow in color. But the problem with the USB ports being active has nothing with those ports or your hackintosh, it's a pure PC BIOS settings related issue. you need to check all settings under Power tab like "Power Loading: to see what other options are available if you change the "Auto" mode to other settings available. sad_Vamp
Hi all! I'm going to upgrade my GPU to RX 480; what particular steps should I follow to make the MACOS working again? Thanks!
