Hi guys I need some advice to build a hackintosh for music production and I need a lot of power  .
I really like the Gigabyte GA-X99P-SLI Thunderbolt 3 , and saw some cheap Xeon E5-2695 V4 ES 18 cores on Ebay for 5-600$, or any 12-14 core cpu .

Now the question is is it possible to do it ? and the second question is do I need ECC memory with Xeons or will regular ddr4 memory work? forgive my ignorance :)

Any advice and suggestion is highly appreciated!!!

I've got a couple of Gigabyte X99 hacks. One with an Ebay es (engineering sample) 12 core xeon and another with a 5960x i7.

I don't have ECC memory for either of them.

It's easy these days, with Sierra.

The graphics card is important and if you need great graphics you'll also need a helper video card.

Plenty of guides and help here on this site :)
