surfinchina Posted June 15, 2017 Share Posted June 15, 2017 For whatever reason the high sierra fb kext for my nano doesn't work in high sierra, so I went the traditional modification of the X4100 kext. I copy it to desktop, put in the 0x73001002 entry, inject it back to s/l/e and repair permissions The kext loads, but somehow doesn't! (see image) - kext signature validation error. I've tried all the fake id's associated with baffin but no go. It's possible Apple has strengthened their kext protections... Has anyone else tried modifying Apple kexts and succeeded? Is there a way I can get around the kext signing thing? Can I inject a modification to the kext via Clover?? I have SIP disabled via clover.
