Hi !

INFO:

Vendor: ATI (0x1002)

Device ID: 0x6778

I checked wiki and this is what i found

Radeon HD 7470 (OEM) January 2012 Caicos

Codename: Caicos

then in AMDRadeonX3000.kext

AMDCaicosGraphicsAccelerator -> device id's "0x67681002 0x67701002 0x67791002 ..."

and in AMD6000Controller.kext -> device id's "0x67681002 0x67701002 0x67791002 ..."

---------------------

Fake your device id to something like 0x67791002 in clover.

well i've tried many things changed Id to 76781002 in controller.kext  and x3000.kext

rebuild kext.

got better res booting -v -f .

system still post res 1024x768 and controller not loaded

how can I force  7000controller.kext to load.

I have tried everything to get to 1920x1080. Think I'll just leave it as is.

1024x768 ??  looks ok on my 55 inch uhd 4k Vizio monitor..

at 1920x1080x32 get black screen with white strip on bottom 1/3 of the screen flickering.

Thanks everyone .

add your device ID (0x67781002) to the info.plist file inside the following kexts:

/S/L/E/AMD7000Controller.kext

/S/L/E/AMDRadeonX4000.kext

check with ioregistryexplorer.

set framebuffer in clover config. use clover configurator app.

thanks Duffs

I have edited id 7678 on all possible kexts.

I use win 10 to copy all id  info and then used Chameleon Wizard ! I pasted in the ATI ID section.

The resolution looks a lot better ! ( using a jpg picture as a check point )  stills shows at 1024x768.

AMD Reagon HD 7470
 PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6778&SUBSYS_21201028&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6778&SUBSYS_21201028
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6778&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6778&CC_0300

I used Textedit to edit kext ! simple

you need to edit kexts in osx then rebuild kernel cache (use Kext Utility) then reboot.

so you are using chameleon boot loader ? hm..

i think you need to make clover usb key. then send me config.plist. you will find guides here on the forum.

Although system still shows 1025x768 . no loaded controller.

AMD Ati  7470 is working! 1920x1080. in Maverick 9.5 with Vizio 55" c TV

Thanks to Kext Wizard !!!!

I edited 7000 > 6000 > 5000 controller , all amd ati 3000 kext, 4000 kext , 5000kext , 6000kext > used text edit to inter 7074 iD.

Then installed all kext with Kext Wizard in extra > system Lib. rebuild Mkext !

I will leave well enough alone !!!!!

Hi! I know this thread is two years old... but it’s the only one I found that addresses the AMD 7470.  Is there any chance you’ve still got the edited kexts? I would gladly appreciate if you send them to me, too. Thanks!!!

Just use FakeID = 0x67791002 in Clover.

And DSDT->fixes->FixDisplay

Hello Slice,

I am on High Sierra with HD7470, however when I put fakeID=0x67791002 and FixDisplay=true and InjectATI=true I still do not have Graphics acceleration, is there any other steps that I am missing to get it working?

Thanks,

twsps
