LYHVbHl.png

Can you give me clover log? I want to check your log about cpu.

Also i want to your dmi dump from darwin dump, before upload your dmi dump, remove your serial and mlb in SMBIOS.txt. then upload.

Thanks in advance

If you want to know why it's showing Core 2 Quad it's because I edited the Quad Core Intel Xeon text to Intel Core 2 Quad.

I need to check old cpu info.

You can see why i want your log from clover bug/report thread.

If you dont have boardserial number in SMBIOS.txt, no problem. Anyway before upload your file, check serial, mlb, rom. Then there are no them, upload SMBIOS.txt and clover bootlog

Ok, attached them.

I'm not sure if are the right files... sorry if I uploaded incorrect files.

okay. get log but still clover cpu behavior not good in latest clover. i want to check one

what is your external clock in bios? ex 133mhz or 333mhz in your bios.

i suspect that your external clock maybe  is 333mhz. right?

your clock 2.33ghz. your multiplier 7.

or overclock?

Overclock, 400MHz external clock and 2.8ghz clock, and multiplier 6-7(speed step)

Okay good.

Now your external clock 400mhz now. Also checked in bios.

Followed standard

FSB=external clock*4 = 1,600,000,000hz

CpuFrequency=400*7=2.8ghz

What is your hw.busfrequency in terminal?

Maybe 400,000,000 right?

Edit: Sometimes my cpu is shown as 2.8GHz and sometimes as 2.79GHz in HWMonitor but in about this mac is always 2.8GHz

Okay. Confirmed.

I recommend correct fsbfreqeuncy value.

Thank you for your detail report.

How to correct fsbfrequency?

How to correct fsbfrequency?

Try "400000" on fsbfrequency in config.plist. ofc its easy if you use clover configurator.

Then check hw.busfrequncy again terminal.

Now your busfrequency use tsc calibrated value. Need to adjust correct value to get more stable system. Thank you

It's ok? Thanks for the info, didn't know that my system wasn't stable... hmm...

Now my bus speed is 1.6GHz in system profiler.

This is correct according to apple DMI dump(real mac imac8,1). Did you get cpufreq 2.8 right in SP? How about your system now? Try benchmark utility

Yeah 2.8GHz, benchmark score seems to be the same.

Okay

Summary

Your orignial

Cpu frequency 2.33ghz

External clock 333

Multiplier 7

Busfrqeuncy= external clock *4 =333*4=133330khz

Can see 133330khz in website

http://www.c-integration.com/products/specs.php/328-intel-core-2-quad-q8200

Cpufreqeuncy=external clock * multiplier

333*7=2.33ghz

This is standard. Since sandy in apple, little change calculation in apple. But in factory, its same.

Enjoy ;)

Thank you

Add more info correctly to avoid confusion

Bus Speed(in mac, external clock)

FSB frequency(in mac, hw.busfrequency) = Bus Speed * 4

Cpu frequency = Bus Speed * multiplier

Here is your cpu's cpuz.
