I finally got my sound issued solved, but now my iMessage isn't sending texts.

I went to https://www.reddit.c...tan_and_sierra/, but I don't understand about importing my config.plist and saving/exporting the plist.  Also, when typing in the commands in terminal, I kept getting file not found.

Ideas?

Was it working before on your system?

Yes

I remember my audio quit working before this & I fixed that with a Voodoo generic audio kext.  That's when I noticed my iMessage not working.  I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

do you have the config.plist that you were using with the working iMessage?

Unfortunately, no.  I guess i've learned my lesson about backing up before attempting to fix something.

Now it's saying XXX-XXX-XXXX is not registered with iMessage

Does this help.....

Last login: Mon May 15 18:41:14 on console

/System/Library/Messages/PlugIns/SMS.imservice/Contents/MacOS/SMS ; exit;

Jerry-MacBook-Pro:~ Jgkc9ayc$ /System/Library/Messages/PlugIns/SMS.imservice/Contents/MacOS/SMS ; exit;

-bash: /System/Library/Messages/PlugIns/SMS.imservice/Contents/MacOS/SMS: cannot execute binary file

My iMessage also stopped working today (completely random too.. was working before as well).. I ended up fixing it by re-doing the reddit tutorial all over again: https://www.reddit.c...102_generating/

Your serial number might be black listed you can use clover configurator to open the EFI folder and opening the config.plist afterward then changing the SMBIOS setting to a new one.

Make sure Ethernet is built-in!

Well, I went through all those steps again except this time I did a first aid on the drive partition instead of deleting the files manually & it's working now.  Don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.
