Zaben
Hello, I'm trying to get a VM of OSX 10.6 on my PC. I'm running Windows 10 with an i7 4710HQ and Nvidia 860m. I've been trying this method here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290949-how-to-install-os-x-10x-snow-leopard-lion-mountain-lion-mavericks-and-yosemite-in-vmware-workstation-1011-or-player-67/ along with Unlocker 2: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/339-unlocker/ Now, this is the farthest I've made it trying to do this. I'm able to see an Apple Logo, and then it gives me an error saying that the guest OS is not Mac OSX Server 10.6. So I changed my Vmware to Workstation 11, and tried it with again and it gave the same error each time. I don't have the other OS versions, and I'm not sure whether I'm still doing something wrong, or whether it's a win 10 issue? I'm really new to this, and have never done OSX on a VM before. I also forgot to mention, but I bought my own Snow leopards CD, and I'm still trying to figure out that guide. Edited May 9, 2017 by Zaben
0000-1248
Exactly that. It isn't Mac OS X Server, which to my knowledge is the only version of SL which is supported. Try Virtualbox instead.

I've tried VirtualBox beforehand and it wouldn't work. Do you know how I could do it on VirtualBox? It says no bootable medium found.
0000-1248
Yeah, you aren't able to use a vanilla media alone with VB. You need to load a ramdisk first, so I would recommend downloading Nawcom's ModCD iso and using that as your bootable drive, then when you get to the Darwin screen you switch out the ModCD for the SL disk. So to use that as the bootable drive, do i create an IDE controller or do I put it in the default SATA controller. I tried it with the IDE one and it game be a boot error. bios disc read error and a cdboot: error then did nothing. i couldnt even change the disc. How do I proceed from here?
