Gigabyte Z170-HD3P can't shutdown

Hello guys!

im trying to mount a new mackintosh with other pc that i got. (and this time, with El Capitan)

 

the hardware is:

MOBO: Gigabyte Z170-HD3P

RAM: 16 GB DDR4 Kingston 2133Mhz

PROCESSOR: Intel i7 6700K

GPU: AMD Sapphire Radeon HD 6870

 

I have everything working fine:

-USB 3.0

-Audio

-Ethernet

etc...

 

except Hibernation, that is not working.

 

i have tested to press hibernation button in the apple menu, and it restarted.

After of that, the computer can't shutdown.

 

if i press shutdown , the  apple menu bar (finder) disappear but the computer stay in the desktop without power off.

 

whats happen ? :D

 

could you help me with the hibernation? (if is possible, if not, at least i want to can power off jajaja :D

Yeah!, i got the solution.

there just a problem of Pro Tools  app.

Avid create a plugin named Avid CoreAudio.plugin that block the shutdown in El Capitan.

I only have to delete this and now it shutdown with no problem.

oh, and sleep is not working.

if it can works,fine, but if not,not a problem jaja

sorry Allan, i was speaking about sleep mode xD

not hibernation, sorry for the confusion.

NP bro  ;)

 

To be sure that you'll not have problems, disable the "automatic" hibernation mode.

 

Run this in Terminal:

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage
sudo mkdir /var/vm/sleepimage

Always check your hibernatemode after updates and disable it. System updates tend to re-enable it, although the trick above (making sleepimage a directory) tends to help.

in mavericks months ago, same problem here in install for studio. :D
