Any hope whatsoever for Optimus?

I just dropped another MacBook and I'm done. I can't deal with Apple's {censored} hardware anymore. I'd pay big bucks for a decent laptop, but Apple simply doesn't make one anymore. The TiPB was indestructible, but those days are long gone.

I want to buy an MSI 17" or something similar but they all use Optimus. Intel graphics suck—on this MacBook you can't even play videos full screen without losing frames unless I turn on discrete graphics manually. Is there any hope for Mac users or am I destined to use Windows due to lack of good hardware from Apple?

who told you about msi 17inch being optimus only? any MSI/asus laptop with g-sync has dedicated nvidia card only. gsync doesnt support optimus. like the following laptop.

or a more expensive but with desktop mobo and processor.

these laptop have graphic performance similar to their desktop counterparts, but be warned dont expect batery life to be more thn 2.5-3hrs since you driving nvidia everytime
