Hi together,

I bought a new laptop in December 2016 in order to install Mac OS X on it.

Now I believe another one with complete install guides would have been the better choice.

It's a Lenovo Ideapad 500-15ISK with the folliowing specs:

i5-6200U

8 GB DDR3L-1600
256 GB SSD
DVD+/-RW DL
HD520 & AMD Radeon R7 M360 with 2048 MB GDDR3 VRAM
Realtek High Definition Audio (ALC236)
Realtek Gigabit Network RTL8168

I managed to install Sierra 10.12.3 with Clover 4035 in EFI mode.

DVMT is not changeable - BIOS locked.

There are a lot of things I got to work:

HD520 Graphics Acceleration by using minstolensizepatch + no-glitch patch

Sound by Kext2Patch & AppleHDA.kext

Network by RTL8111.kext

Trackpad by VoodooPS2Controller.kext

Battery percentage by ACPIBatterymanager.kext

PM by X86PlatformPluginInjector.kext and SMBIOS MBA13,1

WIFI out-of-the-box by changing hardware to BCM943602BAED

iMessage & Facetime & Siri

In Clover folder:

SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext, FakeSMC.kext, VoodooPS2Controller.kext

Not working:

- Bluetooth

- Brightness

- Battery? When reaching about 60%, it's jumping to 5% with showing the notification to use the power supply.

Charging back to 100% just takes about 30 minutes!?

- Camera

Next step for me is patching the DSDT to get full battery capacity.

There is no Lenovo patch that fits to my laptop (or I didn't find it).

Is there anybody out there who is willing to help me with the patch?

Battery and other stuff which suits to my laptop.

Thanks in advance

Michael

no changes to battery :(

I hope this has to do with the battery patch at all...

PM done with X86PlatformPlugin.kext and Clover.

No SSDT.

Look at my ioreg at 4th post if PM is fully working.

*edit* There is a new problem: shutdown = reboot

the icon is showing that the AC is connected, which is not true.

in the meanwhile:

-update to 10.12.4

-upgraded to clover 4047

-added SkylakeLPC fix in dsdt

maybe there is another reason why battery is not working correctly?

The Battery works without DSDT patch on my Ideapad 500...

Just use ACPIBatteryManager in your CLOVER-EFI-Partition and forget the DSDT Patch in that case... ;)

Here the file, thank you.

Maybe this help, it's the ALC236:

File: audio_codecdetect.command_v2.2

HDMI audio codec(s)

Onboard audio codec
Device: Not supported
Realtek: 0x10ec0236
Name: Realtek ALC236
Audio ID: Not supported
Current Audio ID: 1 (valid: 1, 2, or 3)
FIX, try:
2. CLOVER/config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1 (or 2 or 3)

No system files were changed

Thank you
