Hi Maldon,

Can you help me patching my DSDT? is an ASUS z170 pro gaming and 6700k + GTX 1070

Now I´m on 10.13.1, but once I have my own DSDT patched, it´s necessary to change when there is an OS update? for example... 10.14?

I don´t know how to add zip files to the post...

You can find attached files here: https://files.fm/u/fcqchz93

Thanks.

CLOVER.zip

just update

Hi all, I'm following this guide to install 10.13 to my 8700k build. Specs are as follows

8700k

Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 Rev 1

Gskill Trident z 32gb 3000

EVGA 1080ti sc2

Samsung 850 evo 500gb

I've made a bootable usb following this guide and added the EFI from the thread at the top of this post.

I've edited smbios to be imac 18,3, updated Fake SMC to 3.5.1, am using the latest clover 4318 followed this guide to enable Nvidia gpu. Kexts are already in the “other” folder, removed EMUVariableUEFi to try and aid the install. Used Clover Configurator to generate new serial and smuuid and made sure ff and ffm were not zeroes. I've tried this whole process at least a half dozen times in slightly different ways each time. Furthest I've gotten is to the second stage of the install, after the first reboot and the creation of the recovery partition, the installer hangs and gives a somewhat generic error message saying something along the lines of "Mac OS High Sierra can not be installed on this computer. Run Apple Diagnostics."

Checking the install log and I find one error that seems to be of note regarding a failed extraction of Core.pkg if memory serves [was doing this late at night].

Up next is trying maldon’s Clover folder. Can any one of you gurus provide any help? I’m a newbie to clover so I’m just probably missing some horribly simple steps to get my system up. I really appreciate it!

u can try with 10.13.1?

Apologies, it looks like I was installing 10.13.1.

long story short, I was able to get my system to install 10.13.1 with your clover folder, problem I’m facing now is Nvidia graphics.

I botched my first attempt at it by also messing with Fake SMC kexts, and I don’t think I followed the procedure properly to the letter. For reference, this is the procedure I’m following.

http://hackintosher.com/guides/properly-install-nvidia-drivers-high-sierra-10-13/

should this procedure be followed?

It doesn’t specify to check nvda_drv=1

I’m also facing a sleep wake problem. My system instantly reboots on shutdown. I can post files if needed but I don’t know if not having Nvidia web drivers and not having the iGPU enabled would cause that

Good!

Enjoy!

While my onboard is working very well now with codeccommander installed, audio from my DisplayPort is no longer displayed in sound settings.

I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back it, probably not a huge issue, just need to sort it out and find information on how to configure codeccommander to ignore hdmi and dp ports.

Check new version

https://sourceforge.net/projects/nvidiagraphicsfixup/

  • Allows to use ports HDMI, DP, Digital DVI with audio (Injects @0connector-type - @5connector-type properties into GPU)

talk about 1.2.1 version ?

don't help with hdmi sound ... like previos version sound only on dp ... exactly haw you say ... on serie 10xx nvivia offer sound only on dp ...:(

.. or maybe I'am wrong ... what configuration ( without voodoo kext and other additional apps) need to enable sound on hdmi ? or both dp and hdmi ?  I'm very intrestistind about sound on hdmi ... can have hope to this happening ?   thank you

sound from DisplayPort was working out of box, but something changed that when I upgraded the web driver or installed codeccommander to fix my onboard, hdmi hasn't worked for me since my last card gtx 660 and using toldeas patch.

This was on a completely different system though.

Also, that fixed my DisplayPort audio.

Hi Maldon, I set up High Sierra on my PC, fully updated and it works great including GTX 1080, bluetooth, wifi,

add-in USB 3.1 card etc. Start up and shut down is reliable. CPU is 7700k and motherboard is Asus Z270F.

My problem is as follows:

1. Wake from "monitor off" only works with the keyboard, moving the mouse has no effect.

2. Wake from sleep does not work (keyboard or mouse). I need to press the power button to force standby, then after 2 seconds the PC wakes up.

3. S3 Standby does not ever work. The PC wakes up after 2 seconds.

Can you help me with dsdt.aml and config.plist to fix it? Thanks.

OK. I did that but no change.

I set the energy saver to 3 mins and my PC goes to sleep, but wakes after 2 seconds with the screen off.

When I click sleep on the Apple menu the same thing happens - 2 seconds then wake.

run in terminal

log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason"

paste result here
