JustCallMeDan
@Mundane1026 Would you mind also sending me the files, too? I found a VirtualBox/VMWare image for High Sierra (all over google search results), but it doesn't work with my AMD. I love the quizzes required to post here, btw. I almost feel smart now! Though *ahem* oldie alert... I don't remember 1/44 MB being a 'standard' capacity for a floppy disk. That was a "High Density" floppy (ooooh)... I still remember 720 KB floppies as "standard density"! Mind you, that's assuming it's 3.5" anyway and not 5.25"... Aaah, memories Thanks for the flashbacks, folks. Edit: I found elsewhere that Sierra needs a processor that features SSE4.1... Which mine does not have. So looks like it'll be MacInCloud or similar for me. laurentiuronea
hey Guys, I'm really sorry for the delay. I had to replace my notebook and had to start from scratch. Right now I'm working on my guide to help you load Sierra on VMWare. I had to start from scratch and this is a preview of me running the most recent updated Sierra 10.12.6. I had to reload the OS from scratch. Right now I'm Running it on 40GB HD file and so far everything is working fine. l will shortly load the VMDK file to my dropbox and mega account. Hi, Could you send me the link, please?

InTheY2K
Hi, I am new to this whole macOS VM thing, and I hope my question is placed correctly here. After successfully installing and running macOS Sierra (10.12.5) with VMware Player 12.5.5 on my Acer Aspire (AMD A10-7300) for a couple of days I fell for the temptation to run the update to High Sierra, as it suggested. The update seemed to run smoothly but upon reboot it said "The CPU has been disabled". According to my research I suppose that High Sierra is not working with VMware on AMD architecture, correct? I am confused. I have found a number of forum posts with different kernels but don't know how to apply them. What would be the right way to get it running? Thanks in advance for any pointers, Sascha Edited April 14, 2018 by InTheY2K
