Hi,

I'm trying to install Mavericks into a Gibabyte XM11-3337 SPECS

I can install but can't boot into the OS.

Someone can give me some help on this problem? Into verbose mode it talks about Bluetooth controller, I already try some boot flags (-x, -v, -f, PCIRootUID=1, GraphicsEnabler=No, dart=0 and npci=0x2000) but at this moment still can't boot into OS.

Already try a distro for Mavericks too but give me same problem.

Cheers.

EDIT: SOLVED!

If it hangs on the Bluetooth Transport Failed or similar, than it is a graphics problem, rather than a bluetooth problem surprisingly enough. It seems that you have HD 4000 graphics, that should be supported. In Chameleon try IGPEnabler=Yes or GraphicsEnabler=Yes. If this doesn't work than install Clover and use inject Intel.

Good luck,

Hi!

Thank you for your reply!

Unfortunately that boot flags did not work for me.

I'm a bit lost because I'm a newbie at this stuff .

I only can boot into OS using -v -x.

Cheers.

Okay, interesting that it didn't work. If I were you I would try installing Clover and using the options for graphics there. Clover natively supports Intel HD 3000 and above without the need for any boot flags. Boot into OS X with -v and -x, download Clover from here and then install it. Make sure that you select Legacy and deselect all UEFI options since you have a standard BIOS. If graphics don't work natively, try Inject Intel in the graphics section of Clover Configurator which you can download here. Make sure to get the Classic Version as the Vibrant one requires 10.10 and up.

Best regards,

Hi!

I do everything as you said but now have this problem "VM Swap Subsystem is ON" and stuck on this one.

Can you give me some help please?

Cheers.

Sorry to hear it is still not working. Can you post a screenshot of the entire screen? Sometimes the issue is not what the final message is but it is something further up the line; a VM Swap Subsystem hang could be a variety of issues. If possible, a video would be better. Quality doesn't need to be good, but I still need to at least read the text.

Hi,

I think this is a graphic issue.

If I run this:

Type: mount -uw /

Type: cd /System/Library/Extensions

Type: mkdir intel_back

Type: mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelF* intel_back/

Type: touch ../Extensions

I can boot in normal mode but with limited graphics.

Any way to resolve?

Cheers

That is an interesting conclusion. In this case I think that you should inject a device id with Clover. Go to Clover Configurator and under FakeID in the Graphics section type this: 0x01168086

Tell me if that works.

EDIT:

Problem solved.

Just removed all IntelHD3000 kexts, repair pemissions with Kext Utility and inject intel with ig-platform-id: 01660003.

The only problem now is the HDMI sound, don't have sound but actually I'm using the display port to a regular monitor.

Cheers!

Excellent! I can see that you injected it for Intel HD 4000, interesting solution. I just have a question, QE/CI works right? It would be pretty cool to see that the drivers for HD 4000 can work with 3000 with full compatibility. Nice work, but to get sound working you need to find your audio codec and install the right kext accordingly. You can do that here. Toleda has made a patch which auto-detects your audio codec and installs the right drivers.

Best of luck,

Hi!

In my case I have the Intel HD4000 not the HD3000. This Gigabyte BRIX have no audio output, I mean have no audio connectors if I want audio only via HDMI in Windows, in this case I already check the link you provide but the script can't find any audio codec.

About the QE/CI I want to help but I have no idea how can I see that, if you give me a little help I can see that for you!

Cheers.

Ahh OK. I see it now, so that's why my graphics solutions didn't work. That was my bad, I read the specs sheet wrong :hysterical: That was so stupid of me xD. Anyway, about your HDMI Audio follow this guide here to modify the kext to support HDMI audio.

Unfortunately a DSDT patch is required, if you are unsure how to patch a DSDT I can help you.

For some reason I always think that Ivy Bridge uses HD 3000 rather than 4000

Hope I got it right this time ;)
