Mikeas
I'm in a clean installation, I've not tried any other solutions apart from using an AppleALC kext 1.0.18 version and copy it to /EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other. Trying to get audio natively. But didn't worked. Can someone take a look at my files? and help me, please. Audio is the only thing missing from my Sierra. I have a HDMI-HDMI cable and a DVI-HDMI + a audio cable (MOBO - Monitor). Either way possible I would like audio, HDMI or DVI, etc. Please help. Edit1: If I uninstall Nvidia WebDrivers I get audio immediately.

SavageAUS
Have you patched your DSDT? <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Rename HDAS to HDEF</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data>SERBUw==</data> <key>Replace</key> <data>SERFRg==</data> </dict>

Am I wrong? If yes, would you mind elaborate how to do it? please. Or where to exactly put that code in my config.plist, thanks.
SavageAUS
Have you tried AppleHDA patcher? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk If you open your config.plist with clover configurator and go to the ACPI section you put patches at the top. Also in devices you can try check the reset HDA box in clover configurator. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Before I do this, I wanted to try something else, and just connect a external speaker to my MOBO. And it worked! I have audio, as a built-in speaker (while is external). So, why I get audio from the external speaker connected to my MOBO, but not from my Monitor ASUS MX279 connected to the same MOBO, same cable, same port. BTW I have audio through my monitor if I uninstall the Nvidia WebDrivers. Any ideas? I'm keeping the speakers, but man they look ugly although they worked . I would like to "fix" my monitor audio. crusher
Ok use Vanila AppleHDA kext and put AppleALC kext in kexts folder 10.x.x In config.plist add layout-id 11 and in DSDT put 0x0B <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>11</string> </dict>
SavageAUS
So where exactly are you trying to get sound out from? Speakers (green analogue) or monitor (hdmi)? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk I'm not using HDMI to HDMI currently. I'm using DVI (GPU) to HDMI (Monitor). I have connected the audio cable analogue to some external speaker (not Monitor) and audio worked. Without moving any other file. I would like to get the audio from my monitor speakers. SavageAUS
Well unless something has changed you cannot pass audio through DVI even if using dvi > hdmi. You will need another solution. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Depending on your monitor your best bet if wanting to use monitor for audio is to use a 3.5mm jack connected at both ends. Output on mb and input on monitor. SavageAUS
Have you got another way to test output on your monitor? Is the volume turned up? If you connect speakers and they work then the issue is the monitor. Getting hdmi audio isn't hard. Toleda has a script to enable it.
