Hello dear community,

I have a problem with my media machine. The first cpu core is always at 70% load from kernel_task and I cannot find the reason why. The OS is installed recently (10.12.3), everything is working fine (USB ports, sleep/wake, nvram, wifi, bluetooth).

Here is the config:

CPU: i3-4030U

Graphics: HD4400

1st drive: 120GB SATA3 SSD

2nd drive: 500gb SATA2 HDD

RAM: 4gb DDR3 1600mhz in first bank

WIFI/BT: BCM94352HMB

BIOS: CSM disabled, all CPU features enabled, Graphics Memory 32mb, AHCI enabled, unfortunetly there are no USB options in BIOS

Clover: UEFI with AptioFix2Drv

SMBIOS: MacMini7,1

I did modify the DSDT but even with stock DSDT/SSDT and without the BCM94352HMB the CPU load is still there. I tried to disable graphics injection and boot without display (vnc connection), but still the same issue.

Check

What ur audio codec?

I'll try this later at home, but I already tried to disable audio in BIOS and didn't inject any kexts/properties... the cpu load was still there. So I doubt it will work, but I'll try, thank you. The audio chip is ALC270

EDIT: The kernel_task CPU load is still there.

Check and try

Hi, for me the temporary fix is to put PC to Sleep and then wake it up - kernel_task high CPU usage goes away. Have no clue what's the root of this issue. Maybe, ACPI related.

Some info here:
