PippoX0
Hi, without a real Mac or an Hackintosh or a VM with OSX is not an really easy task. First step is to trasfer DMG on USB 8 Gb You can use PowerISO o TransMac - Restore DMG image to .. USB Second step is to create a Clover Bootable USB ( one USB with 1or 2 Gb is Good) You need BU - Boot utility which format and install Clover on the 2nd USB http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283190-bdutilityexe-make-clover-bootflash-with-macos-distr-under-windows/ (If it doesn't download Clover automatically ... do instead ..) Download Clover-v2.3k-3994-X64.iso ( download CloverISO-3994.tar.lzma and unzip with 7zip utility) Use Win32DiskImage Writer or TransMac to write Clover-v2.3k-3994-X64.iso to USB . Third Insert the two USB and boot computer from Clover USB, then choose Sierra USB from clov er menu, to start install You can take a look also here ... http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/288795-guide-creating-os-x-usb-installer-using-a-windows-pc-only/ Cheers

nawcom
It doesn't matter where you install OS X to, you still need to create the install media itself which is what you're trying to do. Once you boot up the install media, partition your USB drive with an HFS+ partition in a GUID partition table and go ahead and install OS X to it. The steps for installing OS X to a USB drive is no different than installing it to a SATA or other drive.

nawcom
Your laptop has GMAX4500MHD which isn't supported since Apple never used it in their computers. There is a way to get it to use the GMAX3100 framebuffer so you can change your resolution but you won't get full graphics acceleration. See: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/173338-gma-x4500/ Also OS X dropped support for GMAX3100 in 10.8 so you can install 10.7.x fine. There's also a way to use the 10.8 DP1 kexts in newer versions of 10.8.x if you want to go that route, but honestly it's not worth putting in the extra effort since you're not going to get graphics acceleration either way. See: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287807-yes-we-can/ For gigabit LAN you can use this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247470-bcm5722-bcm5754m-bcm5755m-bcm5787m-and-bcm5906m-nic-driver-3264-bit/ If you have the Broadcom wifi card that's mentioned in this lspci dump from someone else's G550 then if I remember right, there's a patch to get the broadcom 4315 model working. For audio I believe you have Conexant CX20561 and you can get it working fine through VoodooHDA. edit: Looks like someone has the G550 on the HCL list: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.6.6/Portables#G550

nawcom
"hardware not supported" is usually due to you either not injecting a correct board-id value via Clover's config.plist or Chameleon's smbios.plist or you are injecting a Mac model that is too old to be supported in 10.8. This check is just there to prevent this version of OS X to be installed on Macs that are too old and lack driver support on it. My guess is it's due to the former, not the latter. Be sure and use one to get past this issue. MacBook5,2 has the same generation CPU (Penryn) that yours is from so I suggest using that. Here's an smbios.plist for it to use with Chameleon: http://olarila.com/files/SMBIOS/MacBook5.2.plist If you're using Clover then configure that model in its config.plist As for the kernel issue in 10.6, you have an entry level Pentium CPU I assume (T4200 or a T4500 from what I read?) from the Penryn microarchitecture instead of an equivalent Core 2 Duo or Celeron CPU. It isn't natively supported in the kernel which means you need to use the legacy kernel to boot it. Please read the HCL link I gave you as it gives you all the specifics for running it on 10.6.
