overdriver79
I managed to fry my Gigabyte (B85, ALC892, Realtek LAN) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5013#sp My system was running Sierra with Clover. A truly rock steady system. I am waiting for a replacement of my Mobo. Since the store I bought it doesn't sell it anymore I have the following options: ASRock Z97 Anniversary Edition (Z97, ALC887, Intel LAN) http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97%20Anniversary/?cat=Specifications Gigabyte GA Z97P-D3 (Z97, ALC887, Realtek LAN) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5361#sp If I would like to add a little money I could climb to: ASRock Z97 PRO4 (Z97, ALC892, Intel LAN) http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97%20Pro4/?cat=Specifications I want to keep my current installation. So my question is if there is a way to safe boot to my new system and then change whatever necessary so that my hackintosh boots again with my new motherboard? Thanks. P.S. My CPU is Intel i5. I don't have a graphics card.
MaLd0n
i think yes. remove dsdt, ssdts or use drop tables in Clover boot options.
overdriver79
i think yes. remove dsdt, ssdts or use drop tables in Clover boot options. Thanks. You mean doing that by booting in safe mode first, right? By the way, I hadn't patched DSDT since my system was steady and I didn't had the time to fully study the Clover wiki. Does that make things easier or is it irrelevant?
MaLd0n
press O or space-bar in clover boot screen all hacks need DSDT, SSDT. Many things work native if we inject devices id etc. Clover have good patches!
