It shows to use a clover install that I can not find to download. I have tried many other versions and way to get mac os onto the dell with no luck. Is it possible for anyopne to give some advice?

You can get the latest Clover pkg from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/

Looks like that Clover Special Edition pkg created the install media via imaging BaseSystem.dmg - here's instructions for manually creating that: https://www.lifewire.com/use-disk-utility-bootable-os-x-yosemite-installer-2259935 Even though it's for Yosemite it's the same for newer versions. The Special Edition pkg most likely did all of this for you through an install script. You cannot create the install media using the "createinstallmedia" command line app (example) because you need access to /System/Library/Extensions on the install media as explained in the guide. Run the Clover pkg and install it to the USB after you completed the steps for making the USB install media.

Other than that, follow the instructions in that guide. Let me know if you have issues booting or making a config.plist.

How do I use the clover Configurator? And then what settings should i use in the clover pkg?

Heh yeah they don't really tell you how to create a config.plist or what specific settings you need. Try using this one for now that I just created that I'll attach - it should work fine. It's a basic config to mimic a MacBookPro6,2 model. Put it in /EFI/CLOVER after you install Clover to the USB.

As for settings in the Clover pkg? You have to decide if you'll be booting this up in UEFI mode if your laptop supports it, or Legacy mode which is what I'm seeing your laptop model only supports. To install in Legacy mode select these options:

OK i followed the steps all the way thru and started clover. I booted from the macOS boot usb and it stalls at AppleKeyStore starting (built: Nov 17 2016 21:25:42)

Okay well let's see if just skipping over that for now by using NullCPUPowerManagement.kext gets you past this. Another thing I noticed in that guide is it doesn't cover the other kexts needed pre-install. Attached ones should be good enough. Put them in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

could it have to do with the AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext ? Or the fact i am using a macOS Sierra installer? Or that I made it on a VM?

No making it on a VM is fine. I assumed you deleted AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext and rebuilt prelinkedkernel but regardless that shouldn't cause a lockup at this state. I assumed you were installing El Capitan but you should be able to boot the Sierra installer just fine with your CPU model.

So I am still hanging up at the same spot. It hangs up in the same spot with the applehdgraphicsfb.kext removed or left there. I have tried with the original, the first and second config files. I would try El Captan if i had an installer for it. Now as far as rebuilding prelinkedkernal, i have no idea how to do that
