es27
In the installer, where is the location of the kernel. I have looked in / and /System/Library but there isn't even a Kernels folder. Also can I get it to work with Chameleon if not what other bootloader can I use. Please avoid giving Clover. Thanks in advance....

TheRacerMaster
If you used createinstallmedia, the prelinkedkernel should be in .IABootFiles. If you want to actually replace the kernel, you'll need to edit BaseSystem.dmg or use the manual restoration method.
PMheart
Hi. Hope this may help you. No kernel should be needed. The PrelinkedKernel aka KernelCache is enough. And also. The kernel should be extracted manually by Pacifist in Essentials.pkg which is located in /System/Installation/Packages (Actually a link and its origin is InstallESD.dmg/Packages). Or extract the kernel by Pike R. Alpha's lzvn command line tool. It can be found at https://github.com/piker-alpha/lzvn Things you should do: 1. Make /S*/L*/Kernels by yourself. 2. Extract kernel by following above and put it into /S*/L*/Kernels 3. Just enjoy. BTW. Why not use 'UseKernelCache=yes'? PMheart

PMheart
Thanks for that I used the first method of using pacifist to get kernel and managed to get the kernel Yes. But I prefer using LZVN. Much faster. PMheart
