By budget, I meant current 2016/2017 tech that will run 10.12 well for web browsing, non-graphics intensive gaming, etc.

monto
Got a Gigabyte H170-Gaming 3 DDR3 for around 2200 TWD ($70 USD). It's a nice board with premium parts and comes with 5 year warranty. Network and sound are well supported. B150 boards are also highly compatible. Any of the skylake i3/i5/i7 CPU will do.If you have DDR3 RAM from an old system, getting DDR3 mobo can save you $100 or so. The speed of DDR3 vs DDR4 is not perceivable in daily use. Only memory intensive application would take advantage of DDR4 in a noticeable way.
Slice
True. By budget, I meant current 2016/2017 tech that will run 10.12 well for web browsing, non-graphics intensive gaming, etc. All boards. CPU must be i5-i7 to have onboard graphics. VoodooHDA will work for all onboard Audio. For all LAN you can find a good working kext on our site. Anyway. It will not be working OOB. Some brain needed.
