try generate SSDT by Pike, need a test

 

post ssdt here

 

I ran it. It says unknown processor and to visit ark.intel.com to gather required info, which I found here:

The SSDT generator log below says it needs this info which was blank. I filled out the best I could:

  • Processor Number: E3-1290
  • TDP: 95 W
  • Low Frequency Mode (use AppleIntelInfo.kext)  <---- Not sure what this means
  • Base Frequency: 3.60 GHz
  • Max Turbo Frequency: 4.00 GHz
  • Cores: 4
  • Threads: 8

after run it in terminal

I downloaded the zip file. I put the folder you provided AppleIntelInfo on the desktop and typed in terminal

sudo cat /tmp/AppleIntelInfo.dat

 

Terminal error said:

I'm not sure what you mean by the 1st sentence unfortunately. 

 

I did run sudo cat /tmp/AppleIntelInfo.dat 5 times and this is the result of the 5th time running. But again, I do not know what I am looking at or for  :surprised:

Actually now I see what I'm looking for the last line shows 37 for 3.7GHz.  :)

 

I guess I really want to see a 40 but nothing yet.

I tried iMac12,1, iMac12,2, iMac13,1 and none of those helped get about 37.

 

​I'm going to start researching Pike SSDT now.

 

​Regardless, I am beyond thrilled with this machine running OS X and wanted to thank you again for all the help and the audio issue help that started all this. I just realized I hi-jacked the {censored} out of this thread... sorry!  :(

Thanks for that.  NullCPUPowerManagement literally means no PM! I now have a fully functioning Dell Precision T1600 E3-1270
