hello

give a good read from here

            #4

good hack

Thank you artur, I've done that many times but no luck.  It seems on this old version of laptop nothing works.  Sleep no problem, hibernate no problem.

SSD and hibernate not a good idea.

Last thing was can a USB thumb drive be used to hibernate?  probably not as it is similar to solid state drive.

For plain old sleep & wake, always make sure to disable hibernation:

sudo pmset hibernatemode 0
sudo pmset hibernatefile /dev/null
sudo rm -f /var/vm/sleepfile

Thanks Herve' will give this a try.

Tried the /dev/null method same result.  No wake.

hibernate is 0.  neverhibernate checked in config.plist.

patched dsdt.

I had to use Intel Shutdown patch in dsdt.

So I'm wondering what the wake is like in other systems.

the other thing I read was to remove _PRW.  these are in USB ports and a few other things.  but not that many.

would the _PRW just be removed or change the name to something else?

thanks
