bpotter
I'm at a stopping point on my Sierra installation. Important system info: Gigabyte x58-UD3R v2.0 FH OCZ Vertex 3 SSD - Plugged into port 0 BIOS set to optimized defaults (see attached files) Using ##### / clover set to legacy mode What's happening / the steps: I boot from USB stick to Sierra installer I can see the SSD and format it I install Sierra on the SSD I reboot from USB I do not see SSD as an option on the screen for the second phase of completing the installation of Sierra from the SSD (see attached image) What I have done: Plugged drive in every port Installed Clover to a new USB stick with a variety of settings / themes Attempted multiple configurations using Clover Configurator I don't know what else I need to do to complete the installation and install a bootloader on the SSD. Has anyone else encountered this? I'm open to any suggestions. Thank you. More photos biossettings.zip

J Lamp
I'm running multiple SSDs on my X58a-UD7. You just have to be sure that you install Clover for a legacy boot (make sure it updates the MBR when you install it.) Make sure that all the drive ports in the bios are set to AHCI (very important.)
