Macos Sierra on I5

Hey guys, so, i just replaced my Mobo, memory and cpu, got bored with AMD and the obvious lack of support for the future and decided to switch Brands.

I got Sierra installed 1st time, But had a nightmare getting clover to boot UEFI, and i dont think its installed correctly at all, my cpu shows as a Xenon or something, not I5 etc.

AND when i reboot, my screen goes like a pinkish colur, i have to power off and back on to restore it to normal.

I was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of a guide to correctly setup my system, ignoring my signature for the moment, my correct current system stats are as follows -

CPU = Core i5 2400 @ 3.1Ghz. Sandybridge i believe.

MOBO - MSI H61M-P32/W8

MEM - 16GB Crucial DDR3@1600Mhz.

VGA - Geforce 9600GT pcie.

Sata and hdds and writers all seem to work fine every install, so im really just needing a guide to create the usb and the correct settings i should use in clover to get it to boot properly.

Might be asking a lot, but i hope someone may have installed a similar system and can help, ive come from AMD and ENOCH, and i want to use the full UEFI capability, so im lost when it comes to clover, Enoch is very basic in comparison lol.

Heres hoping.

Post your config.plist.

What kexts are you using?

Hi, I only have the 1 bootflag selected, dart=0, and i have inject nvidia selected, not the web drivers, if i use web drivers i dont get full acceleration, but then with inject nvidia i get the correct full hd display, but when i reboot, even at the posting screen i instantly get random coloured screens, ive had red, pink, green lol.  Im totally lost, i never had this issue on my AMD system, the card worked natively first time, but im assuming its to do with clover options and or drivers.

Here is my config.

I noticed theres nothing selected in the cpu settings either, is this right or should something be ticked there too.

Are you able to install the web drivers?

If so, install then make these changes then reboot

<key>SystemParameters</key>
<dict>
<key>InjectKexts</key>
<string>Detect</string>
<key>InjectSystemID</key>
<true/>
<key>NvidiaWeb</key>
<true/>
</dict>

And also uncheck nv_disable=1

Where do i put this, in the config plist under graphics??

hello

if u use this in clover probably don't need nullcpupowermanagement

KernelAndKextPatches

then should enable the states in

ACPI

read after this

good hack

Nice, unfortunatley, Straight over my head lmao, not that im stupid or anything, Ive just been so used to ENOCH i dont have much of a clue about Clover and what goes where, i switched to Intel, finally abandoned AMD and it just seemed more sensible to use clover, right now im not that sure lol, im not great with coding, hacking or programming or anything, always scared ill break it. But i am willing to learn, no doubt in 6 months time ill be further forward.

Hey chaps, VERY STRANGE question, but i have to ask, my cpu -

Core I5 2400 3.1ghz -

Now, is this a dual or quad, can anyone tell me, i have an I5 lappy, but thats only dual core, 2 cores 2 threads, But someone told me this isnt a dual core its a quad, im confused, I assumed it was dualcore like a lot of the I5s where, anyone know?????

The nvidiaweb goes in system parameters. If you open your config.plist with clover configurator you will find the right boxes to tick :-)

Can you post all extracted DSDT + SSDT

At the main Clover bootloader screen, you can press F4 and Clover will dump the native ACPI files to EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin.

OR

Create a linux USB and run it live. The DSDT's and SSDT's files are available directly from OS. You can find them at /sys/firmware/acpi/tables and /sys/firmware/acpi/tables/dynamic. You can copy the entire set with a single command in Terminal.

sudo cp -R /sys/firmware/acpi/tables Destination

Destination is another drive that you would have plugged in to sent the ACPI table too.

Graemes-iMac:~ graemeg$ sudo cp -R /sys/firmware/acpi/tables BIOS
cp: /sys/firmware/acpi/tables: No such file or directory

That doesnt work for me at all that command, so i will try to get them today via the clover method at boot.

I dont know which is needed because it dumped loads, but here they are.
