Also, there might be a special deal with the local university and you can get even a better deal.... Anyways, i too was a little paranoid about the little gap from the lid, and get some of these: http://www.radtech.us/Products/Wildeepz.aspx Now it closes down just fine ... Also, running the computer in a room @24C is different than @26C ... rarely you can hear the vents.... so I guess the room temperature also has an effect on that ...
