I have tried to Use Chameleon bootloader to install Sierra, but it is only booting into Recovery Mode. I have also tried to Update from older macOS, but again that Error after reboot. HP Pavilion DV6-6180us Intel i7-2670QM Intel HD3000+AMD Radeon 6770M Renesas USB 3.0 There is also issue with USB USB3.0 is not Booting Clover From USB and Clover is not booting from USB3.0 But MacOS is not recognising USB2.0 when installing and throwing SATA WARNING: enable auto-activate failed I have past this error by changing USB installer to 3.0 after the kernel being loaded USB 2.0 is also not recognised in my older Yosemite installation using GenericUSBXHCI.kext
holyfield
Hi! Sierra uses different approach to USB! You have to use ports injector or another approach. It's seems to be common issue with Sierra now.
oljik
I have resolved that issue by connecting HDD externally by USB on another Laptop and installing Sierra there. Or maybe I had Port Injector in my Clover kexts folder, don't remember. Thank you
