hi,

i've installed El Capitan OS X on my laptop Samsung Series 5 NP550P5C,

Intel® Core i7-3630QM CPU@2.4GHz, 2401MhZ, 4Core, 8 Logical Processors

Intel® HD Graphics 4000 / NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M.

here are the problems i encountered:

ON FIRST INSTALL

1) loading the installer @50% black screen, rebooted to usb, loading installer before 50% swiped mouse up and down, left to right, click left/right buttons then installer successfully loaded. proceed with install.

2) booting to OSX 50% black screen

- while booting i inserted cdmi cable for another screen, black screen @50% (laptop scree) light on my usb blinking, and the display switched to the hdmi output monitor but the display was distorted and looks 4 screens are overlapping - attached phone #1.JPG.

post-1859959-0-49272000-1476871718_thumb.jpg

- repeated to boot, before loading bar reach 50% i swiped the mouse up and down, left and right repeatedly like crazy and clicking left/right click. i don't know why it booted up successfuly but i thought it was hibernating when it reaches 50%.

- configured post install with ##### but upon rebooting the problem just repeated (i just think i didn't successfully configured with ##### because i don't know what drivers to add etc etc). distorted screen display loaded from hdmi, i can tell i lost the keyboard function because i can't type in any password on the login.

ON SECOND INSTALL

same things happened, and i was able to successfully installed the OSX again. I just still did not rebooted my laptop (4days no shut down) until I am able to get help/solutions. installed Clover_v2.3k_r3320-UEFI.pkg and CustoMac Essentials.pkg, opened config.plist in the HDD petition made by clover. the configurator as default opened like with the following (all other photos - 2-12) i have USB 3.0 and i hope it can function correctly after config, realtek audio (driver in windows 10), synaptics touchpad.

SMBIOS, i checked my chipset and equivalent is MacBookPro9,1 (i7-3630QM - ivy bridge)- should i change it from macpro3,1 to macbookpro9,1??

i hope someone can really  help me what to configure with clover so my laptop on OSX will function correctly.

hi!

thanks for the interest to help. here's the plist...

i think the plist was just the default as installed during the installation process.

i hope all that my other devices will work also..

i also attached the plist of the installer that i used..

thanks!

Sir I guess that Clover 3320 is too old to be discussed here (now 38xx +). Also please take a look on our rules  :wink_anim:

sorry sir about this.. i wasn't able to think that the clover i used was too old due to frustration and stress (i've been trying to install OS X on my laptop for more than two months now). i look into the downloads section and was able to see that there's clover 3811 and i would use it just as i receive feedback from sir Sherlocks. and i also apologise int i had mentioned any bad things ( result of ### hush hush test). don't worry this will not happen again. cheers and best regards!

And as you can see in our Rules, we don't give support for Tonymac tools.

i deeply appologize for that sir, i was in a rush and desperation because i have been trying to solve my problem for so long and i really do not have the technical capability of knowing if a tool is his/hers, as a normal "just know how to use a pc" individual, all i know a free tool from the internet that i think can help me i just have to get it and try.  and i read the link you posted and realised that it was the m##b##, i just cited in my post that i used it before and nothing happened. and I'm currently on fresh re-install of el capitan and i just opened the clover configurator as of now and i don't know if the screen shot i posted (SMBIOS) is good to go before i save the plist.. i did not use the tool from them on my current install.. thats why i still haven't turned off my laptop since the last install/successful reboot because i know i will not be able to open os x again. i really apologise for that sir.... i hope you understand..

Video > You'll need enable Intel HD 4000: Intel HD4000 and Haswell Inject AAPL,ig-platform-id - Just take the right value for you, put it in config.plist, and use Inject Intel.

And disable Nvidia GT 630M: DSDT/SSDT: Disable dedicated GPU to extend battery life (Laptop-exclusive)

Audio > You need know what is your Codec ID to inject your audio, or install VoodooHDA.

Baterry > You can use ACPIBatteryManager.kext or apply a patch in your DSDT.

WiFi > What's your WiFi manufacturer? You can use DPCIManager.app to know that.

CD-Rom > In the most of cases it works OOB, check if in your UEFI/BIOS are enabled all the SATA ports.

I gave to you all this links just using "Search bar" above, if you have more doubts, you can use it too  :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Try use USB injection in your config.plist

Read: USB

thanks mr.allan!

no more problem with my usb port.

my problems are being narrowed down slowly but surely. ;)

there's only few things left for me to do,

-audio (alc269) post-1859959-0-50309900-1478101197_thumb.jpg

-camera

by the way does this has something to do with which drivers/kext i have to use?

post-1859959-0-00553800-1478103458_thumb.png

still haven't found the right kext for it, i tried some (including the forbidden apple-tried their universal driver/kext but i had low sound even the volume was set high and the mic input was always ON and is always having feedback sound[sorry for mentioning this]) but still no luck.

OR maybe (for sure) it's just because i do not know the correct process of installing the kext file and PATCHING.

everytime i see *patch* it's like *beeping/censored* sound in my brain, "apply patch on dsdt" patch this and that.. etc etc.

really don't know what those mean and how to do it and i hope an angel would drop by to show me path to the light.

im pretty sure i will be able to make everything work (maybe after 1 year?? lol).

i hope more people (with more patience) would also drop by to give suggestions/instructions for a really dummy (like for a 2nd grader T_T-really)

count down to problems:

-intel graphics hd 4000 still not functioning as expected;

i can't watch any movie from DVD Player, VLC, DivX player (app crashes upon opening), but i can watch you tube and other streaming sites. i tried the app Kodi and it was able to play a .mkv video format but it was lagging (looks like it displays frames from every 1 sec)

post-1859959-0-30063700-1478460627_thumb.png

and also why it shows there's no kext installed for intel hd4000?

-keyboard function - not expecting to be solved

i hope someone can help me. thanks in advance!
