Trouble getting to installer: Black screen halfway through apple logo

Hi everyone, I am a noobie and am just starting out with the hackintosh hobby. I am trying to get Yosemite installed on my laptop (lenovo x230T) which has the following specs:

i5 3320m

8gb

250gb ssd

intel hd 4000

I am able to boot the usb stick, but when I select the yosemite image, I get the apple logo, and halfway across the status bar, the screen goes completely black. It seems the USB stick still accesses for a little while, and the machine seems responsive, but no display. I searched around but most of what I found for black screen issues were unsupported nvidia card issues. Does anyone here know what might be at fault here (besides me being a noob)? Would love to get this up and running. Thanks in advance.

PS here is a youtube link showing what it does:

Hi there,

The only way in to the installer to my knowledge is you have to delete the Intel Graphics kexts from the System/Extensions folder and it will boot to the installer.

Can someone confirm this is correct?

thanks for the reply, but I haven't managed to get that to work. I have tried the following:

-v

-x

-f

igpenabler=no/yes

graphicsenabler=no

npci=0x2000

still blacks out at exactly the same point. The last thing it loads is bluetooth family start completed.
