HackerKitty
I recently replaced CPU in Acer Aspire 5349 (Celeron) and 5749Z (Pentium) by Core i-5 2540M (Sandybridge). This effectively converted them into Aspire 5750 since M/B is identical for all of them. I was able to install Yosemite and Sierra inside of unlocked VMWare on Linux host. Apart from some sound glitches, they work fine for a few basic tasks. I am now wondering if it is possible to install Sierra directly on these Aspire 5750. I saw many sites talking about installing OSX on Aspire 5750G after flashing its BIOS to enable EFI boot. The single major difference between 5750 and 5750G is the presence of dedicated graphics chipset on 5750G. 5750G has NVIDIA GeForce GT540M/520M whereas 5750 has integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 only. Because of this difference, I do not think I can flash my 5750 BIOS with 5750G BIOS. That means I can only use legacy BIOS on this machine. I saw some people managed to install old version of OSX on Aspire 5750 but the postings were back from 2011. In theory, this CPU and graphics should be able to take Sierra, but I could be wrong. Is there anyone who installed anything later than 10.9 on Aspire 5750? If so, what did you use as a boorloader?

HackerKitty
hello use clover in legacy mode .. i have sierra installed that way in the first note from sig .. (i5 first generation ) good hack Thank you for your quick reply. I saw your CPU has Intel HD Graphics only: http://ark.intel.com/products/43537/Intel-Core-i5-430M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_26-GHz If this works, surely mine should work. Could you tell me which SMBIOS you used? I am not so sure if I should use MacBook 6,2 or later version of MacBook Pro.
