MLS
Since you can do things like run Linux on an Ipod, now run Mac Os on a PSP, I think that the next logical evolution now is running Playstation games on your ipod

blahsucks
It's sort of an inane concept. Basically, these guys ported Bochs to PSP and then ran Basilisk MacOS Emulator on top of that (Who came up with that idea, anyway?). I'm pretty sure it would be better to do a native Basilisk port or even a hacked-around thing. This is basically a cheap, duct-taped way to do it. blahsucks
Sorry about that. It probably explains the lack of speed; vMac is slooooow. This isn't usable. I don't know of anyone who has reproduced this either. It's nothing to watch until someone hacks the PSP with PDA input. If you've ever tried using a PDA with just arrow buttons, you'll know that even a fully functional OS would drive most people nutty.

blahsucks
New Basilisk build out. It seems that it now boots in a minute. Still not exactly what you'd want to use for notetaking, though.
Sentertainment
"Boot time is approximately 4 hours using default CPU settings. Setup time was about 40 minutes, just because I had to find all the necessary files and recall how to install them. This cheap hack was done with the version of Bochs for PSP running vMac in FreeDOS." Wow, here's a better tree of that: OS7 -> vMac -> FreeDOS -> Bochs -> PSP That explains the speed and boot time, at least I'm sure that can't be very fast. Now, I'm sure with some hacks, you could do this: OS7 -> Bochs -> PSP or even see if Bochs could be modified and integrated into OS7 (like we use Darwin x86 with OSX) and do: OS7 (modified) -> PSP
blahsucks
Actually, it should be Basilisk instead of Bochs, but that's the basic idea, yeah. I've tracked down the Basilisk build! http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=3741
Sentertainment
Yeah, I guess I missed readingg your post... Hmm, so you've seen it running that way? It must be close to 10x faster, cuz that removes so much emulation!
