Hello, i have installed mavericks on my Lenovo 3000 N100. Previously i have tried yosemite but it was very slow and laggy. However, while the installation finished and my pc rebooted i ran into a kernel panic It says "AppleSmartBatteryManager:getBatteryBIF (0xE00002BC) failed" and then "panic (cpu1 caller 0xffffff80002dc19e):Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f8145c5b2". I have recently installed yosemite on my desktop but it is the first time i ran into a kernel panic so i am not used with it. What should i do? :(

I have reinstalled without the AppleSmartBatteryManager kext and it worked perfectly. I didn't manage to enable camera, sd card reader and wifi. The only thing that bothers me is the wifi (which is the broadcom 802.11 abg). It is pretty fast running mavericks but i see that it has the problem with its intergraded graphics. Can i do something to improve graphics performance. Also my specs are:

CPU:intel core duo t2300e 1,66GHz (i think)

gpu:intel gma 945 (intergraded)

hdd:80 gb sata

Ethernet:intergraded ethernet controller

WLAN:Broadcom 802.11abg (on the spec site it says intel pro/wireless 3945ABG)

CD/DVD:Simple recorder

Screen:Same as the 3000 n200

but you are using Clover or chamaleon as boot loader?

you have installed with the pendrive?
for graphics in Lion was using NVEnabler64.kext

while I used org.chameleon.Boot

The GPU in question was dropped after Mac OS X 10.7.5. So you would need to install Lion.

hello Rampage Dev, I wondered why it seemed odd that he had installed Mavericks and Yosemite fact I wanted to understand as he had done
I have never been able to go more than Lion 10,7,5 back and even with difficulty given the graphics card and then a lot warms the CPU because the fan most often crashes and had to shut down and restart times +
Thank you for answering
I apologize for my English I hope you understand

Indeed my laptop gets hot very often and i installed a mavericks distro having charmeleon for boot loader. I am going to try with the GraphicsEnabler boot argument and tell you if it is going to work better.

Edit: it works better with graphics enabler set to yes
