Hi,

I'm trying to get the USB 3.0 ports running on my Elitebook 8460P. The 2 ports are powered by an NEC uPD720200 USB 3.0 Host Controller (1033:0194). Can't get them to work with any USB kext, however if I inject GenericUSBXHCI.kext with Clover, plug in a USB device to one of the ports, remove it and plug it into the second port suddenly both ports seem to get "activated" - this way the device gets detected and can even run full 3.0 speed, but the controller still doesn't show up in system profiler next to the 2.0 controllers. This only works with GenericUSBXHCI.kext, tried different other USB kexts. I know NEC controllers should be unsupported, but maybe an expert here can explain, how it still can get activated and hopefully we can find a solution to get rid of this annoying activation procedure...

I'm using Clover and a patched DSDT (attached), however this USB activation also works with the original DSDT

Thanks in advance!
