Tried from 10.3 through 10.12 OS X on to ESXi 6.0u2 AMD

I have an ESXi 6.0u2 on a 24 Core 65GB mem AMD Server. I have installed unlocker 208. I have tried from 10.3 through 10.12 OS X.

The lower version can't get past the crossed out O and the higher versions fail right after the apple logo.

I have tried the vmx change:

smc.version = "0"

I don't have a MAC to be able to create my own images. I have downloaded many of each version from torrents that claim to be bootable or install image.

Has anyone got any version of OS X to work on a ESXi 6.0u2 with AMD processors?

So frustrated.

When you say:  "build and upload us a Sierra AMD kernel"

Do you mean the vmx file?

I'm sorry, I'm still new to some of this or how do I build a Sierra AMD kernel?

Thank you for your help. I want to understand how the OSX to non-Apple Hardware ESXi works.

Apple only support Intel CPUs as no Apple hardware has been released with AMD ones. SO to make OS X work on any virtualised platform requires a modified kernel for OS X.  Spakk is basically letting you know that this is the only way forward and there are forums here that discuss AMD development. The AMD kernels are really only available after Apple releases the source code to the XNU kernel, so Sierra is not available at the moment. However I have not seen many who have got it to succeed on ESXi.

Well, I'm off to study the AMD Development Forum, wish me luck.

Thanks spakk & Donk.

BTW - I did try various CPUID masks with AMD CPU and we got some where but did not seem stable. If you are interested in trying this thread has all the details http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298201-maverick-on-esxi-opteron-board/?hl=%2Bamd+%2Bunlocker&do=findComment&comment=2036544. I will be happy to help out  but I do not have access to any AMD powered kit.

Let us know how you get on.
