Just noticed I am having the same issues, I did work in the beginning but stopped..

anyone ?

Tries to send every thing in SMS and not iMessage

Well, I got it working, not sure what step did it be here is what I did

Sign Out of iCloud.com

Close Safari

Open System Preferences - iCloud : Click Sign Out

Disconnect from the network then Restart

Open the newly revealed Library folder and select Caches

From the Caches folder delete all files and folders beginning with :

  • com.apple.iCloudHelper
  • com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent
  • com.apple.Message

In Finder navigate to Username/Library/Preferences and delete all files and folders beginning with

  • com.apple.iChat.
  • com.apple.icloud.
  • com.apple.ids.service
  • com.apple.imagent.
  • com.apple.imessage.
  • com.apple.imservice.

Empty the Trash and Restart.

You must have a working Ethernet connection which is defined as BuiltIn and en0.

In the left pane select Rt Variables

From the ROM dropdown list select UseMacAddr0
Make sure that the MLB box is empty
Set BooterConfig to 0x28
Set CsrActiveConfig to 0x67

it just started working when I got home but try this...

1. close iMessage on your Mac.

2. on your iphone, go to setting- Message, turn off iMessage. Then turn it on again.

(for some users, it will show you "waiting for activation....". it might take couples of hours to complete this process.

it's normal.. just be patient and leave the switch ON because if you turn it off, it will restart the activation process.)

3. after iMessage on iPhone get activated. open iMessage on OSX, it should work now..

So I am doing some testing on this, its the only thing that is working wonky for me in Sierra, I did a re install of the OS and had the same problem, I have been trying different settings in clover to get sleep working on my system. I have noticed that I cannot start a message but if I get a message from someone I can respond it it works like it should

Interesting this one, it seems to be on the service side and not on the OS side

Still working it

** Updated Info** <for anyone that cares>

I did a full clean install of Sierra, booting with Clover 3773, everything seems to be working but for sleep and iMessage.

I can log into iMessage but cannot send or receive, I get an error message that the contacts number is not a registered iMessage number(we no it is)..

This morning I get a message from someone and I can reply to them and that seems to work.

So right now I can message contact that message me first but cannot start one
