unable to boot to anything but osx after windows reinstall

I have 3 operating systems on my laptop, ubuntu, osx and windows xp and I had been using acronis os selector to choose which to boot to on startup. Recently my xp installation decided to go belly up which forced me to reinstall, this also seems to have removed acronis os selector so when i turn my laptop on it boots straight to osx, how can i resolve this issue?

When OSX boots, first the screen turns black and then grey with a spinning icon.

When you start your computer or reboot, just as soon as it finishes POST and the screen turns black, hold down the F8 key. If the grey screen comes up, you missed the opportunity, try again.

You will get the OSX - Darwin bootloader. Now you have a choice. You can select your Windows partition and install Acronis (be sure to set your Windows partition "active" from within the Acronis Disk Suite) -or- you can decide to continue to use the OSX - Darwin bootloader. To do that, you need to set the Timeout parameter in boot.plist in OSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=193628
