Installing El Capitan on Asus Laptop

I've got a spare laptop to experiment on and have been struggling for the past few hours. I have a Windows Developer Preview .iso file that I intend to use as the second OS. I also have an El Capitan .dmg file. I have tried Transmac and Win32 Disk Imager to create bootable USB drive from the .dmg file within another PC running Windows 7. But it does not seem to boot. I think the issue is that I need a bootloader, but am a bit confused about how exactly to install it on the USB drive. Any help? Thank you.

BTW: I do not have access to a Mac, so please do not ask me to download it from the App Store!
