CRosales99
I am going to be installing Yosemite on a HP Z400 that has a Xeon W3635 and I am replacing graphics with an R9 270x. The Z400 is coming in on Monday and I was wondering if It would be a good idea to record my entire process and upload the video to help others that may be having trouble? Would anyone be interested in this sort of video and I will also try El Captain and do the same if people say they would be interested

I've looked at the Z400/z600/z800 one

Everything you need can be found in the Z400/z600/z800 Thread. Rockey was the first person I am aware of to get things working with Clover after being successful with Enoch Chameleon. CRosales99
Well so far i have clover working great except usb isn't working and i have no clue how to fix I've installed the kexts that i used with my chameleon boot loader and I've tried using USBBusFix but it doesn't work. I mainly got this machine so that i could develop iOS apps and now i can't debug via usb at least there are iPhone Emulators on OS X I will go through my installation process. I tried with vanilla yosemite installer that i downloaded with my other mackintosh that was running Mavericks a couple years ago. I could get it to boot to installer with clover but it wouldn't recognize my hard drive. I used Niresh's Yosemite Zone 10.10.1 and install went smooth only used verbose. Installed kexts that I got from the z400/z600/z800 installation guide Updated to 10.10.5 through App Store and it went fine. I was booting with USB up to this point so I installed Clover in ESP(Had to use this guide: http://www.hackintosh.computer/?p=89 ) At this point I ran into issues with USB. Clover doesn't work with USB but my chameleon boot loader did. Chameleon randomly stopped working for me (Still waiting for root device) so now I have to use Clover and PS/2 stuff from an early 2000's dell
jaymack
When I installed Yosemite which I needed to do recently, I used just the Niresh Yosemite and nothing from here.

jaymack
Did you make any customization choices, or just let it use the defaults? I needed to use -f to boot the USB. My Yosemite installation has no DSDT file and will boot with either Clover or Enoch Chameleon.
