@vdv

try this:

attachicon.gifTrial2_AppleALC.kext_for_Dell_T3500.zip LayoutID 28

@Blaggah

try this:

attachicon.gifTrial_AppleALC.kext_for_HP_XW8600.zip

Sorry, Blaggah, LayoutID is 28 (1C). Totally forgotten.

Thanks MacPeet, I'll give it a try later on. Thanks.

====Update..

@MacPeet - just a note. If I check volume (top right), volume and Output devices are greyed out.

I don't know if it can help.

I already tried "light" dsdt and config.plist, tried again all AppleALC but now results.

The only device I'm setting layout is the HDEF.

I'm using 1C

           Device (HDEF)

            {
                Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000)
                Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)
                {
                    Store (Package (0x04)
                        {
                            "layout-id",
                            Buffer (0x04)
                            {
                                0x1C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
                            },

                            "PinConfigurations",
                            Buffer (Zero) {}
                        }, Local0)
                    DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0))
                    Return (Local0)
                }
            }

I tested Trial4, with layoutID (0C) No audio and no control.

Also with LayoutID (1C) , no audio and no control.

In System Report/Audio there are no DEVICES

Trial4 with layoutID (0B), No audio BUT CONTROL. With 0B I can see Devices under System Report/Audio

Now I am at a loss. No more ideas at the moment.

Edit:

Please check in the terminal with kextstat whether AppleHPET and AppleLPC are loaded! This is important.

Another try with patched AppleHDA. Please ensure the original AppleHDA.

The kext is patched to LayoutID 1 (01 in DSDT).

Both loaded.

  40    0 0xffffff7f82906000 0x3000     0x3000     com.apple.driver.AppleHPET (1.8) 2CFB49B8-4CC2-320B-9C6E-99646DFD8571 <11 7 5 4 3>

  92    0 0xffffff7f827b7000 0x3000     0x3000     com.apple.driver.AppleLPC (3.1) F51595F0-F9B1-3B85-A1C3-F984DAD4107E <83 12 5 4 3>

I'll back up original AppleHDA, remove AppleALC, change layout to 01.

No sound (either from front or back), after installing AppleHDA, removing  AppleALC, Chanced layout to 01, repaired permissions, reboot.

Strange thing. No output but internal speaker.

Do I need Audio Injection  to be "1" in config.plist?

I tried with and without but nothing changes.

One more thing about the HD6350.

This is HWinfo´s output. Seems there are a few HD6XXX cards with a Cedar (pro) chipset.

Can someone please confirm about the Asus WL-138G V2 aka BCM 4318?

I was using the card up to 10.9 as my LAN for one of the Optiplex 780 does work or not.

(Bad cabling and not much I can do about it.)

Was the BCM 4318 support finally dropped with Sierra or is there a workaround?

I used easy kext pro to install my kexts. I deleted the old kexts from S/L/E folder and empty the trash. Then I installed the new ones. Also make sure that you don't have any other audio kexts in the Other folder in Clover folder. After new kexts installed with Easykext pro, it will fix and repair permissions automatically for you. Then you could reboot.

My CLOVER folder is follow macpeet's exactly. I worry mine is Dell 780 SFF motherboard, different to macpeet's normal size motherboard. Can you fix the macpeet CLOVER folder to suit my Dell 780 SFF and 5450 video card?

Well, MacPeet did not attached his CLOVER folder but he gave every steps to have a working one. I'm asking yours because you may have mistaken following those steps. No offense, I just want to be sure things has been handled correctly in the first place :).

Using a 780 SFF model shouldn't make any differences whatsoever.

@Blaggah; no luck. Installed all from scratch, all kext, all layouts. No sound.

Crazy thing; whenever I use Voodoo, it works!

In any case I'm looking around, asking for sum suggestions.

When (and If) I'll have results I'll post them.

Ciao
