ok, so i have everything working fine even audio is working but the sound seems to be very low.

Default Voodo Kext is installed.

Now i came to realize that i need to install IDT kext to get better sound.

i don't know where to start although i know my device id:

PNP Device ID HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_7605&SUBSYS_103C144C&REV_1004\4&3321C578&0&0001

 Help would be appreciated.

edit: i am using Yosemite 10.1

thanks for the reply, do you know how to install the codec?

First: Remove voodoohda.kext and HDADisabler.kext

IDT 92HD81B1X5  --- 111d:7605

Your codec is supported by AppleALC.kext made by @vit9696

Download the kext:

https://github.com/vit9696/AppleALC/releases/download/1.0.11/1.0.11.RELEASE.zip

Put the kext in the kext folder of Clover;

Then add the layout 3 to your DSDT audio injection.

If you want to use VoodooHDA, there is nothing wrong with that.  The fix for low volume with the VoodooHDA is to modify the info.plist for that kext.  Just change VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix from false to true.

Here's a link to a variety of fixes and tips for using VoodooHDA:  http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/267905-voodoohda-common-problems/

Good luck.

P.S. - If you are getting any sound using VoodooHDA, you do not need a different VoodooHDA kext for IDT.  That audio format is supported by VoodooHDA by default.
