maxprum
I have a Quo with a Z77MX-QUO-AOS mother board that i was running using the Z77MXQUOAOS.H2N.OZ1669M BIOS. I just updated the latest version of El Capitan and now my computer won't boot up. It just gets to the apple screen and then goes black. I saw someone mention " try to use osxaptiofixdrv2.efi or try to disable the SIP" To someone with a similar problem. But I am not sure how to do this. Can anybody help with this? Do I need to refresh the BIOS and re-install an older version of El Capitan?
imtoodvs
have you tried booting with bootloader on a usb stick?
Brettgh
You might want to check if the bios is using latest firmware because I've seen it revert to older backup version. I would like to know exactly how you got El Capitan to run on quo because I'm using Yosemite. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Chakonari
I have different hardware (see sig.) but also had a blank screen issue. Now I have a reboot issue. One thing I can share as someone who only started with this less than a month ago is that sometime I have to reboot multiple times for it to work. So just observing what happens on one or two boots might not tell you anything about the problem. The blank screen issue turned out to be a an issue with the output from the card I was using to boot - with a GTX 680 you probably have several different types of outputs (DVH, HDMI and display port). The only noob tip I can provide is: Have you tried all of them?... and keep in mind. Having to reboot multiple times for things to work seems to be one of the common problems.
