Webcam in OSX VM?

Does anyone have their webcam working in OSX 10.11 running in VMware workstation 12 player?

I read and followed all the threads on this site and I was able to get OSX 10.11 installed and running on VMware workstation 12 player.  I also successfully spoofed my settings in the .vmx file and was able to get Messages and Facetime working, however I cannot get my webcam to work.  If I open Facetime it logs in just fine but my preview screen is blank.  Also in photobooth, my camera preview screen is blank.

If I go to Apple Menu - About this mac - system report - camera - it does show an HD facetime camera present.   I did connect my camera to the OSX side via the VMware workstation - connect USB device.

What am I missing here?

The video driver that VMware uses does not support acceleration via QE/CI which is used by those programs. So the windows are not drawn properly. Unfortunately there i on way to fix this until VMware release drivers that support QE/CI.
