Changelog:

Code re-done from scratch, two new apps called Ares and Webkintosh:

Ares Posted Image

bootloaders configurator for both Enoch and Clover. Can edit the config.plist entirely with some facilities (as well for o.c.B.p, kernel.plist and SMBios.plist).

Clover WIKI is embedded in the config Editor to have quick access to the instructions and examples. Ability to update Enoch and Clover to latest revision available w/o update the entire app.

Ares can install the bootloader by targeting any ESP you have directly or in congiunction with the target Volume.

You can drag your config.plist directly into the Pandora's Box window, Ares will be automatically opened. What remain is to edit it and save where you like!

is now specialized in kexts installation from a large selection, but also permit you to drag your kexts (into the Pandora's interface) and let you decide where to install:

in any supported filesystems, in different volumes, but is also able to install in the target volume and its ESP at same time.

Support installation in

/System/Library/Extensions,

/Library/Extensions,

/Extra/Extensions,

/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other - 10.X (and an all OEM sub directories),

...again at same time!

now produces two kind of installers, one with "restore" method, other with "createinstallmedia".

Both are untouched installers (Vanilla), and no kexts are added, nor the bootloader.

does it install el capitan  on z170 chipset?

Sure, but use 10.11.1 as minimum + Clover r3358 as minimum!

This because I guessing you are using a Skylake CPU on it!

What about adding Oz into Pandora?

Should be,  but I never use it.

What I need is the EFI folder used (as example) + a good and detailed WIKI. Not last, the permission of the Authors before do that.

Hey Micky1979, great work! However, there is a big problem with Hermes. When I make an OS X Mavericks installer with the 'createinstallmedia' option, when I try to install I get a 'This version of OS X may have been tampered with during downloading. OS X cannot be installed.' I then created an installer manually with the restore method and Disk Utility and it worked fine. I use Clover r3388. Anyway, just something to fix.

Thanks,

- Matt

Hi Matt, thanks for testing.

BTW using "createinstallmedia" option in Hermes is exactly the same as doing that in Terminal....only one line of code using

Install OS X Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia

ie the command inside the app you provided.

This mean that making a restore manually you have bypassed some check done by the app itself and it is not surprising that restore can work.

To proof that you can try to redone an installer using:

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/YourVolumeHere --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction

Can you try that to see if the problem persist?

Thanks

EDIT
as I imagined, the problem you experienced appear to be a common and known bug by Apple as described here:

http://osxdaily.com/2015/01/19/fix-os-x-install-errors-cant-be-verified-error-occurred-preparing-mac/

and can be solved by simply rebooting or by fixing the date/time on your Mac/Hack.

So forgot what I said, because the next time (after a reboot?) can simply work, or not (date problem) ;), or by downloading the app from the MAS

Thanks, I've tried rebooting it, however I haven't tried resetting the time. I'll retry tonight and post the results. The Install OS X Mavericks.app was not pirated and I downloaded it from the App Store back in 2013 and moved it from computer to computer via an external HDD (perhaps that was the issue?).

Thanks and again, great work!

I thnink u forgot donate link in your app, i was looking for it, thanks man, great (read amazing) app

Thanks Sir.

Pandora's Box is totally free and a "donate" button never will be there, this is my "will".

Why? consider that Pandora's Box ...is a contenitor that include someone else work, so you can donate to all developers you want that you can see in the "credits" by accesing the top bar menu.

I'm really glad you like the app :) and its functionalities, the contents comes from the OSX86 cummunity!

Thanks to you. When I said "downloaded from Apple Store" I was just referring to the osxdaily's article and obviously we are talking here only about regular purchased/free/downloaded softwares, and this is easy because Mavericks is free.

Yes, downloading from a Mac and use it in another one with different account can be the problem I guess, even if you are the same person (this software appear in your "purchased software" in App Store.app, so this can be a problem since a check is surely performed).
