Biotekk
hey, have thoughts to give me a Mac OSX build intel 2011-3 X 99, but it seems that very many choose just gigabyte motherboards are there any specific reason or is it just as well with Asus or MSI motherboard and is there anything special you to think about the choice of motherboard? Then I have a thought concerning m2 Ssd disk, there is support for it in osx? Thanks in Advance
Jualk
I personally am using a gigabyte ud7 board, and it's working with all USB ports, onboard bluetooth and LAN. My onboard sound isn't working at the moment, but I'm using a usb sound card anyway so for me it doesn't really matter. If trying a bit it would probably be doable. The only negative thing I can say about the gigabyte board is that the Bios has some flaws, but that seems to be a general problem among x99 boards. That said, I've heard some people say that Asus boards are easier to get going on x99 and are more recommended, but I have no personal experience with them myself so I couldn't say. What made me go for the gigabyte in the end was because I read some horror stories about asus x99 boards getting fried and taking the cpu with them. That is probably an incredibly rare occurrence though, and probably nothing to worry about. Don't know if those problems have been corrected since. I've also heard about MSI boards being successfully used as hackintosh boards, so that would probably work as well. I'd say do some googling and see what suits you best
Biotekk
thank, personally I prefer enough gigabytes judgment I am always standing very satisfied with, unfortunately, so are my experiences just by MSI not as successful, but have heard very good, and many recommend precisely msi as long as it is very stable short and easy to input everything the sound is less important when I come to purchase and use a sound card extert an advantage can be if there is thuderbolt teh all usb works smoothly
zedn
I like the Asrock Boards, for example the X99-Extreme 4 or the X99X Killer, or the older X99 WS. I have build several hacks with them, very stable, easy UEFI-Setup, easy Boot with Clover (legacy or EFI). They all work with the Asus Thunderbolt II Card (remove AppleThunderboltNHI.kext). Cheers, Zig
