joachim1989
Hello Everybody First, thank you so much! This community is great -helped a lot to get our system up and running! But there are still some problems, especially with graphics...Our Setup:- Gigabyte X99 UD5 Wifi- Intel i7 5930k- EVGA GTX 980 Ti- Corsair Vengeance DDR4 4x8 GB 2400MHz RAM - Kingston 480 GB SSD- Be Quiet Straight Power 10 800W Power SupplyBootloader:Clover EFIBootflags in config.plist:npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 nvda_drv=1SMBIOS: iMac 14.2Kexts:FakeSMC.kextVoodooTSCSync.kextAppelIntelE1000e.kextInstalled Drivers:voodooHDA for AudioActually everything's working except of Wifi, Bluetooth. Also we get 4k Output from our Graphics Card with the newest Nvidia Webdriver:346.02.03f04 build 14F1509But when we are running some Benchmarks with Cinebench OpenGL we only get framerates around 40-50fps and only 30% workload, which isn't really acceptable for that graphics card (with Windows 10 we got 150fps). Another issue is, that on every startup it seems that it won't load the Nvidia Web Drivers by default, but nothing really changes when switching to it. So maybe it's a bug of visual presentation? Have you guys any idea how to fix that and get full performance of it? Is there any chance to get new web-drivers under Yosemite that might support the GTX980 Ti better? Or is the only solution to try it under El Capitan? Has anyone full performance with the EVGA GTX 980 Ti under Yosemite?Any help appreciated! iWanderer
I got 130fps with my Asus 980 Ti using MacPro 6.1 running Mac OS X 10.11.3. Spec: GA-X99-Gaming 5P Intel i7 5820k @4.4GHz 32Gb RAM
JahStories
I strongly suggest to use the latest version of Macos for better results.

Cinebench is not the best benchmark to check your system but you should have higher fps (around 120-130) nevertheless. Is your CPU working at full speed? Have you checked rendering (CPU) benchmark in cinebench. Your cpu should have around 1000 score. Upgrading to El Capitan will not help as there may be a slight difference only. Have you edited VoodooTSCSync.kext for 6 core CPU with 12 Threads? It should have IOCPUNumber=11.
maleorderbride
bbeepp is absolutely correct in asking about the CPU. Cinebench OpenGL is largely a CPU-bound test that only uses a single thread to run. Check your CPU first. If you want to check GPU, then use Luxmark or Octane Bench to compare with the same models. john.macready
Hi Joachim, I had very similar issue on El Capitan. Check it out! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/310548-gtx-580-extremely-slow-on-el-capitan/?p=2209503 The problem was SMBIOS of iMac 14,2. Just change it to Mac Pro.
