cactus5552 Posted January 20, 2016 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I am trying to install OSX El capitan to my newly built skylake 6600k system. When it boots i get the apple, then i get "Cannot find a driver for this platform acpi". I found a few workarounds, one being a FakeCPUID, which i tried but i still get the same message. Here's my build i5 6600k 16GB Gskill 3200mhz DDR4 (8x2gb sticks) Z170 Deluxe Asus (1402) bios i think. Samsung 950 Pro nvmE 256GB SSD Samsung 850 Evo Sata III (ubuntu). WD 1tb green (storage) 500gb Hgst Deskstar (not sure yet, probably use it for osx) GTX 580 Evga 1.5gb In windows i also enable multi-monitor so i can use 3 monitors on my system (Intel HD 530). Corsair H110 Gtx cooler X-fi titanium Corsair 760T case corsair 750w psu The board has broadcom 802.11ac wifi and bluetooth 4.0 Anyone that can shed light on this subject would be appreciated.
