Need recovery help please

I had a fairly normal running system except only certain usb hubs and the bluetooth option to sync in the system preferences. So I thought upgrading from 10.11 to 10.11.2 might correct it. After reading on here I purchased Carbon Copy Cloner and backed up the system or at least I think I did. I had the os installed on a ssd for my graphic apps so they would launch quicker. I cloned that ssd to a 3TB back regular HD. I am currently booting from that back up I believe, when I go to about this mac it shows 10.11. I installed something on the 10.11.2 drive that caused it to have boot and sleep issues so in trying to fix it I think I caused more problems so last night I decided I was just going to go back to the 10.11 version. I can not get that to work. I am booted in that version now but I tried cloning those files over the ones on the ssd but it doesn't seem to like that. Can someone please help me understand the backup recovery. I was using clover and I also have that thumb drive as well as a clover recovery drive as a boot option.

I guess I am still missing something or maybe files? You mentioned a disk image? Is there a way to do that through CCC. I am currently running on the 10.11 setup on the same computer and I just woke from sleep without a problem. I am confused on why the Clone can't be copied from the hd it is on now to teh SSD drive and just overwrite everything on it. I guess I am assuming too much when I thought I could copy what visual files I seen and could over write those and everything would be back to the way it is on the 10.11.

This is my first hack build so I am very new to everything. I do not think the .2 version fixed anything. The biggest problem I had was all of the USB hubs not showing correctly and the bluetooth not showing in system preference window. But the biggest issue wasn't really an issue I bought a Magic Mouse and wanted to get it set up so I would have everything at home the same as work. I purchased an iogear adapter plugged it in yesterday when I realized I was going to have to go backwards and as soon as I plugged it in, the bluetooth logo showed up and allowed me to pair it. I guess I do not have a  bluetooth issue after all just not the ability to see everything correctly in the system report.

Can you give me a little more info on how to get the dmg or disk image if they are not the same thing. I guess I just wanted to make sure that I can not just go back to this current 10.11 version on the ssd?

Thanks for replying I work 2 jobs and the weekends are the only time I can work on this.

Thanks again for helping. I will wait for the photos before trying to erase any drives. I just wanted to make sure I was giving you the full issue. I started with 10.11.0 el capitan. I was going to use the yosemite but it took me a while to build my hack and 3 days before I was done the el capitan 10.11.0 version came out and I thought why not start there. The 10.11.0 is the one that is working. The 10.11.2 might not have caused the issue I think I was getting out of hand in trying to fix the issues and added too many fixes that ended up breaking it.

My build is in my signature at the bottom so I believe all of the USB ports are on the gigabyte mobo, the processor is an intel i7-4790K. I keep reading about sandy bridge, ivy bridge, hasswell, and some others but I think mine is a devils canyon, not sure if that makes a difference.

When you say about changing the bios do mean where you boot up with the delete key and do it in the gigabyte software or is that somewhere using clover to turn that on or off?

I will take a look at the zip and reply back. Thanks again for all your help.

Here is a screen shot I believe I am understanding. I just wanted to know the files I have highlighted in the screen shot is a clone of the exact ssd while it was running 10.11.0 and everything was good. Do you think I can still clone these files to a disk image erase the ssd and then restore the disk image to that drive?

Thanks, The drive was called time machine backups but I was storing other things on there. Once I found out about CCC I cloned that hard drive and like you said I was unaware that was only copying files. I am currently downloading a new version of el capitan 10.11.2 now and will try a new install with the latest versions and report back how everything worked out.

Thanks you for getting back to me. I think I did understand. After going back through some of the settings I changed I realized that I had turned off the drop-OEM default settings within clover configurator. I never had that setting on until I was trying to get the USB to work out correctly so when the usb didn't change I ended up going back and turning it off. I guess the problem is something that is still installed needs it. I added that check mark back in and it allowed me to boot back up in 10.11.2 on that ssd drive. It was very late so I will try and get back to it over the weekend. Thanks again for all of your help.
