We can only hope for it one day And you know who used to manufacture Upgrade cpu's for the G4's... and then got shut out with the Power Mac... bogus I wouldn't trust anymore rumors about the amd support. There was one that last year they might have a mac with an amd cpu, but I was doubtful and it didn't happen. Once I get the i7 the AMD will probably only be for Windows 10. Apple has always been niche about their products, not only their operating systems. I am very interested in the upgrade process though, how will one be able to upgrade, even on a real Mac, to a whole new file system! I started off hating it (when Yosemite came out. Hell, I was pissed that they removed the linen from Mission Control with Mavericks!) but now, I don't hate it, I just dislike it. So, I'm sticking with Mavericks for now. Obviously, I have an El Capitan partition (About 20GB, just to test things). No cash cow to be found with FLAC?) A disk utility that wasn't made out of fisher price Photos/iPhoto/iTunes approach for documents (PDFs, txts, rtfs etc.) as the Finder is still a bit short on sorting documents in an easy way Improve network sharing across als OSs as this is still a mess in all of my environments Vulkan support Cut and Paste support in Finder (huge lol on that one btw) Of course nothing of this will happen. What will happen instead: The prices for the usable hardware will skylakerocket, the Mac Pro will be reduced to one port (power cord), the rest will be attached to it via Bluetooth (everybody who needs more than beats by Dr. Red and magic peripherials should go with the times anyway). All MacBook flavours will be reduced to one USB type C "mini" port (do not worry, the adapter will only cost 50$ each and will work 90% of the time and it will never break, just like the Apple Pencil. The real innovation is, that the USB Type-C mini port is located at the bottom of the device), the rest of all communication will be handled via AirPort (AirPort now comes with a skymarshall included, sponsored by NSA Inc.) and NFC (Apples name: iWave, not to be confused with Apple Pay), which Apple of course invented/revolutionized (again). Also you will get the ability to turn on your new Mac with maximum security using Forehead ID: Just slam your forehead on the Apple Inc. logo et voilá: Your Mac will magically turn on. Completely secure. It's amazing. The Finder.app will be pimped with tumblr, reddit and YouPorn integration (of course I'm joking on the last one). It would be something that would mean Apple isnt Apple anymore.. So maybe you should communicate your wishes for OSX 10.12 in one of their websites. I had to comment because I find disturbing that some people ridiculing something that they are trying to use/really want to use. Anyway the title of this topic should be OSX 10.12 wishlist, because if you come here for info, you will be more lost than John Travolta in that Pulp Fiction scene. Apple did have ZFS for a while then dropped it, it was way worse then HFS and if you really want it there is ZFS for OSX. I had quite a few situations where I didnt catch case errors with certain files on my local test system (I do web development), but suddenly my sites borked on remote servers - which are case sensitive in any case. And sometimes these errors are not easily detectable (i.e. throwing no 404 etc) and can be quite nasty to debug until you realize whats the cause. I know that you can format with a case sensitive option, but that is known to cause problems and not recommended in general. But even without that certain type of issue, my opinion is that a case insensitive file system is pretty weird in itself. I mean the path "/bla" is NOT the same as "/BLA", right?
