ciao007 Posted December 26, 2015 Share Posted December 26, 2015 Hi guys, i'm having a problem. I have installed OSX few times and i'm quite happy now. Everything is really working fine, but i have still a question regarding my HDD Speed in OSX vs Win. My hdd is 1 TB, 2 partitions one for Win and one for OSX, none of them full. I use OSX only for audio production with Logic Pro X and i notice that this time ( i did other installations few years ago), i'm getting way more pop ups telling me that the HDD R/W speed is slow so the app hangs a litlle bit sometimes. So i decided to take some benchmarks test using Crystall disk for Win and Blackmagic speed for OSX. Of course i did expect some difference results from both of them, just a couple of MB/s nothing crazy. But here is the results. Win R/W 100 MB/s OSX R/W 70 MB/s I clear difference of 30 MB/s using the same HDD. So i was wondering if something it's not 100% in the right place I'm using AHCI mode. I used the Niresh release of Yosemite 10.10.0.
